South African Medical Association; Letlape holds the
title of being the first black ophthalmologist in
South Africa.; Letlape is an avid HIV/AIDS
campaigner and was instrumental in the launch the
South African Medical Association's Tshepang Aids
treatment project in 2002.;

Dr Craige Golding
Dr Craig Golding (MbChB) did his under- and post
graduate degrees at UP and has been practicing as a
commercial physician for eight years. He recently
qualified as an anti-ageing physician in the US
where he also completed two degrees.

Professor Lorna Jacklin
Professor Lorna Jacklin from the Wits Faculty of
Health Sciences recently won the 2008 Shoprite
Checkers/SABC 2 Woman of the Year Award in the
category of health.
Jacklin has dedicated her life and in particular her
medical career to improving the lives of children
with physical disabilities or abuse. She has acted
as an Ombudsman for these children who do not fit
into mainline education and struggle to fulfill
their potential as they are not given the
educational opportunities they need and are often
misunderstood, misdiagnosed and mistreated.
